One of the key roles of our Governing Body is to ensure that our children are learning, feel happy and safe in school and that they feel they have somebody they can talk to and who listens to them. Mrs Murphy, our Link Governor for pupil voice, today met with our School Council with Miss Butters to ask them about school life.
They talked about their learning, talked about trips they would like to go on in the future, discussed how they would like extra play equipment for the playground at lunchtimes and how they could raise money to achieve this. As a result of the meeting, the school council decided to do a non uniform day to raise some money for some new play equipment and then they will work with Miss Butters looking through the catalogues and choosing this equipment. They are all going back to their classes now to talk to other members of their class about what they would like.
The children very much enjoyed sharing their feedback with Mrs Murphy and hope she pops back in to see them again soon.
