Friends of Rugby Free Primary School, is our school’s version of a PTA or PSA. We have chosen to call it Friends of RFPS as we welcome members who are parents, relatives, friends or members of our local community who would like to help their local school.
RFPS works with the school to organise events which provide both additional opportunities for the children at Rugby Free Primary School, but also raises money to buy additional resources for the children.
So if you are interested in being involved, please come along to our next meeting. The date of this will be advertised in our school newsletter which is available on this webiste each Friday in our News Section.
We welcome anybody who is interested in giving some time, ideas, or links with your business, whatever you can offer will make a huge difference!
Please take a look at the summary below which was written by one of the members of Friends of RFPS to explain a little more about what they do…
Who are we?
We are a group of parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends who want to help make the children of RFPS’s school time even more special.
What do we do?
We put on events across the year for children and families connected to the school:
Discos, refreshments stands, Christmas fayre, competitions.
What does it involve?
We hold regular meetings in the evening but know that people have busy lives so we often do lots or arranging things via email/WhatsApp. We know that people can’t necessarily commit to being a full member so anything you can offer will be greatly appreciated:
- Preparing the school before events
- Organising advertising
- Designing things
- Using connections to source prizes
- Taking minutes
- Manning a Christmas stall….
How can I take part?
If you would like to get involved please drop us an email on firstname.lastname@example.org
