Throughout October Rugby Free have been celebrating Black History Month.
Year 2 Studied Alice Ball, linked to their topic “Muck, Mess and Mixtures”. They created pieces of art using pipettes and wrote some facts about her significance.
Year 4 have studied the Windrush generation. They began by studying significant African Caribbean figures who were present in Britain before the 1940s and then wrote diary entries in the role of a person who came across on Empire Windrush.
Year 3 studied Rosa Parks and then wrote a letter to a friend in the role of her detailing the events on the bus.
Year 1 learned about Jessica Ennis and placed her life events on a timeline. They used historical vocabulary to sequence her life.
