Reception had a visit from a local farmer this week, Mrs Grindal, from Catthorpe farm. They enjoyed working together to sort different fruits and vegetables into ones which grow in our country and ones which grow aboard. Mrs Grindal spoke to them about what life is like on the farm. A child was selected to pretend to be Meg, her sheepdog, and had to herd some other children who were pretending to be sheep, through a gate. Next, the children were able to compare the difference between hay and straw and even got to feel some sheep wool. A special thank you to Mrs Pratt for organising this amazing visit.
