Thank you to everybody who attended our Macmillan Coffee Morning. It was a lovely morning with our whole school community plus some of our local community joining together to chat and share coffee and a cake or tea and a biscuit in aid of Macmillan Nurses.
Our children also presented their learning from European Languages Day which was lovely. One little boy asked afterwards “Why didn’t the nurses come and see us do our show if we are doing it to make money to for them!” We explained they were busy looking after poorly people and he said “Well they do do a very good job don’t they and they are very busy so I don’t mind”. He went on to suggest that we invited the poorly people to come too next time and then the nurses wouldn’t be too busy to come and the poorly people could be made happy as the show was great. As you can see we have very modist children! We have to admit though, he did have a point, we were very proud of our children and particularly proud of how they did this so happily in order that all their Mums and Dads and Grandparents came and bought coffee which would help make money for the nurses. Thank you most sincerely to everybody who support the morning. We raised over £250 for Macmillan Nurses.
