Teaching and Learning Assistant
Rugby Free Primary School
Salary: £17,500 FTE
Hours: 32.5 hours – 8.30am-3.30pm (with a 30 min lunch break) however PT would be considered 1/2 days – mornings or afternoons)

Rugby Free Primary School opened in September 2015 with three Reception classes in a newly refurbished state of the art building in Central Park. Each year our school increases by one year group thus providing additional opportunities for staff, movement within year groups etc. We are currently full in all year groups from Reception through to Year 4.
We welcome children of all abilities and from all backgrounds. We are non-selective, non-denominational and are free for all to attend. We provide a high quality local school with an exciting curriculum and extended enrichment opportunities for our children.
We are looking to extend our team of professionals who bring interest, ideas and enthusiasm to match that of the Trust, Governors and the current Staff. Currently, we are seeking a committed Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our dedicated and friendly school team.
We encourage candidates to state their individual interests in their application noting why they feel our school would be the right choice for them in their career. Ideally, they would have a Teaching Assistant qualification and/or experience of working with children with additional needs. Knowledge of children with communication difficulties and use of Makaton is also an advantage but not essential.

Rugby Free Primary School is a new 4-11 school which opened in September 2015. We welcome children of all abilities and from all backgrounds. We are non-selective, non-denominational and are free for all to attend. We provide a high quality local school with an exciting curriculum and extended enrichment opportunities for our children. Next year we will have 360 pupils on roll – Years R – 5.
Each year our school will increase by one year group thus providing additional opportunities for promotion of staff, movement within year groups etc. We are currently looking for 3 additional qualified teachers to join our staff team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a team of three in either Year R, 1, 2, 3 or 4. Our classes are capped at 20 pupils per teacher for the core subjects of English and Maths in the mornings and move to a house group model for afternoon sessions of 30 pupils per teacher. This allows the spare teacher to cover PPA, interventions and leadership time.
As an experienced teacher, you will be able to demonstrate a record of excellent practice in the classroom, commitment to CPD and coaching others and innovative curriculum ideas.
