As part of Safer Internet day on the 7th February 2017 both Reception and Year 1 spent the day learning about how to be safe whilst online helped by Smartie the Penguin. They enjoyed lots of activities alongside learning the dangers and realities of using the internet. This is part of our strive to ensure that all of our children know what to do if they came across a problem online. They even learnt their own song using steel pans and ukuleles! Well done everyone.
Reception children enjoy using their steel pans to accompany their new safer internet song. They can also be seen practising the song during free flow afterwards and accompanying it using our outdoor musical instruments:
Year One also enjoyed learning about Safer Internet Day. They used their Ukelele’s to accompany their new safer internet song… take a listen here:
Be safe when using the internet! Never give out any personal details and always tell an adult if you see anything which worries you.
