Year One children were asked to consider standing to represent their school as part of our School Council. Each candidate produced a poster detailing how they would improve their school if they were elected and presented this to their class. The children then each went to our special polling station to complete their individual ballot paper and vote for the person they wished to represent their class on the school councils.
Thank you to all our children who took part in these elections, either as a candidiate or as a voter. This was a great way to further promote and teach our British Value Democracy.
We look forward to have a thriving school council again this year. The term of election is one year so there will be another opportunity for children to stand next year.
