This week, we finished our World Book Day celebrations with a wonderful performance from Caboodle Arts. The production was incredible… we met the Troll, the Three Billy Goats, Rapunzel, the Ugly Duckling, The Pied Piper of Hamelin and many, many more characters. Alongside enriching our English curriculum, the production also linked with our SMSC curriculum as it had an important moral that we should never judge a book by it’s cover, it is what is on the inside of a person that counts. This led to lots of further discussion in our SMSC lessons which was great to see. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance and thank Friends of RFPS very much for funding this fabulous opportunity for us.
After the performance, our digital leaders also met with the production team to find out how they created their special effects and moving backdrops using the computer. They then fed this back to their classes and will have a go at creating some of the in the coming week so from them too, thank you friends for helping them to fulfil their digital leader role even more effectively.
