This week our School Council and our School Eco Team joined forces to organise World Ocean Day.
The School Council decided that we should all wear ocean colours to school and everybody should learn the names of the different oceans and as many different facts about them.
The Eco team decided that we should talk about how to look after our Oceans and we thought especially about plastic pollution and how this effects the fishes and the different sea creatures who live in our Oceans.
We did lots of special activities in class and we had a special lunch to celebrate our special day. Lots of us had never tried a fish cake before, especially one in the shape of a starfish so it was very exciting! Erin in Year One and Blake in Reception explained to the school in assembly what their year had been doing during the day.
Everybody had a fabulous day.
We thanked our School Council and Eco Team in assembly. We look forward to the next special event they will organise.
