Rugby Free Primary is a 4 – 11 school serving pupils from the local community. The school opened in 2015 with just 42 pupils in Reception and will reach its full capacity with 420 pupils from Years R – 6 in September 2021.
The school is part of Triumph Learning Trust. Our sister schools in the Trust are Rugby Free Secondary School which is located on the other side of Rugby to us, and Alderman's Green and Courthouse Green in Coventry. The Trust and our Local Accountability Boards (LABs) provide us with the support and challenge to grow and develop.
True RFPS superstars! These staff members (Mrs Wilson, Mr May, Mrs Coburn, Mrs Pollitt, Miss Oxborough, Mrs Townsend and Mrs Gill) all volunteered their time to come away with the children which is far beyond their working hours. They didn't just allow the residential to happen but supported the children fully, every hour of the day, often working 18 hours per day whilst leaving their own families at home. They supported the children emotionally, ensured they were eating well, had the right medication, had the right clothing on, were having fun and encouraged them gently in the activities (also showed the children their awful dance moves). The care these members of staff showed the children was over and above and we are so grateful for each and every one of them! Thank you all so much, you are wonderful people! ...
